The ICANN Board has selected Kurt Erik “Kurtis” Lindqvist as the next ICANN President and CEO. Lindqvist is an industry leader who brings more than 30 years of experience in the business development of Internet Service Providers and worldwide network carriers, and deep experience in the ICANN community. ICANN has been sued by a longtime former colleague. The ICANN Board conducted a thorough independent investigation into the matters the plaintiff previously reported to ICANN. Many of the allegations in the complaint are untrue and we will defend our organization and our policies vigorously. Our arguments will be made in the proper venue.

ICANN and the Universal Acceptance Steering Group (UASG) have published the Universal Acceptance (UA) Day 2024 Report, which provides a comprehensive overview of participation numbers, types of sessions held, and promotional efforts for the second annual UA Day. UA Day 2024 attracted participation from thousands of members in the global Internet community.
