Consumers can also report unsafe products to the Safety Commission. Reading through lists of unsafe products and the CPSC's "Most Wanted" list, I saw safety problems that I would never have thought of.
One example of an unsafe product on their "most wanted" list was a Lane cedar chest. Apparently, children have suffocated after climbing into the chests and closing them. Like old refrigerators, the chests locked and the children were unable to get out.
