Incorporated in 1972, Eklutna, Inc. was organized under and bound by the Alaska Corporations Code and the provisions of ANCSA and continues to play a vital role in the economic landscape of the Anchorage area.

Our Culture

The Dena’ina are an early indigenous population of the Knik Arm area. The Dena’ina fished, hunted and gathered wild plants in and around the lands in Upper Cook Inlet, long before Anchorage was founded.

Land Permits Now Available

The Corporation is now issuing access permits for recreational use to include hiking, biking, skiing and similar forms of physical activities. Eklutna lands are private property and are not available for public access unless a permit has been issued. Absolutely NO hunting, NO motorized vehicles, and NO harvesting of wood* is permitted on Eklutna property. To obtain a land permit form, email your request to info@eklutnainc.com. Completed permit form and proof of valid and current medical insurance and photo ID required.

*Non-permitted violators will be prosecuted with minimum $500 penalty.
