Chesapeake Public Schools superintendent announces retirement

Chesapeake Public Schools announced that its superintendent will be retiring July 1, 2026, according to a press release from the school system. Jared A. Cotton has served as superintendent since July 2018. The Chesapeake School Board will announce plans for the selection of the next superintendent in the coming weeks.
